Indiax.org aims to offer useful India information, news, and views to our readers worldwide. We want to offer information which can remain useful even after weeks or months, which can be related to careers, jobs, business, travel, exports, imports, government policies, etc.
In addition, we share facts and views on Indian business by business executives worldwide. So we will cover the India business environment and India business opportunity. So whether you are an Indian company wanting to go global, or a foreign investor seeking India business opportunities, this site will help you. You are welcome to contact us with your views and projects.
We also want to make this site a platform to deliver news that is relevant to even smaller cities in India, because currently, most mainstream media are largely focused on the metro cities. By Dec 2030, we aim to cover 1000+ towns and cities of India.
Editorial Team
Indiax.org is guided by a small but focused editorial leadership team committed to thoughtful analysis, credible storytelling, and practical insights about India’s growth journey. Our approach combines deep research with real-world experience — connecting national developments with the everyday realities of people across India and the global Indian diaspora.
As Indiax.org grows, this section will continue to evolve, bringing together diverse voices who share a common mission: to inform, empower, and inspire.
Shankar AVSB (Founder & Chief Editor)
Shankar AVSB founded Indiax.org in Jan 2009 (during the lows of the 2008 financial crisis) with the vision of building a platform that shares practical information about education, careers, entrepreneurship, and economic opportunity across India. His editorial voice is bold, objective, and action-oriented, focusing on jobs, business growth, financial markets, and long-term economic trends.
An alumnus of the MNIT Jaipur and IIM Lucknow, Shankar has worked with leading global organisations including ABB, BP, Citibank, Fidelity Investments, and Infosys. He also studied postgraduate courses in business management and biotechnology at Stanford University (Stanford GSB and School of Medicine).
With a professional journey spanning engineering, software, AI, financial markets, and entrepreneurship — including AI projects since 1995 — Shankar brings a global yet deeply grounded perspective to Indiax. He advises companies, financial entities, and law firms on AI strategy and adoption. He believes India is on a path toward becoming one of the world’s top three economic superpowers in the 21st century, along with USA and China, and that India citizens will play a key role in shaping the future.
Maya Batra (Senior Editor)
Maya Batra leads editorial strategy and long-form analysis at Indiax.org. Her writing focuses on policy, society, youth employment, gender, urban transformation, and India’s evolving place in the world.
Raised in New Delhi (Karol Bagh and RK Puram), and educated at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi, Maya later completed her Masters degree in Economics and Social Sciences at Oxford University in the UK. Her work blends academic rigor with lived experience, offering a balanced analytical voice inspired by classic long-form journalism.
Having lived and worked between Delhi and London, she brings a dual perspective that resonates with readers in India and the global diaspora. Maya believes journalism should go beyond headlines — asking deeper questions about how change affects real communities.
