NEW DELHI: The Visa given to a US-based Lashkar terrorist Tahawwur Hussain Rana and his wife in Chicago had ‘CG’s discretionary quota’ stamped on it. And the home ministry has blamed the Consuls in the US for it. The consuls have maintained that the visas were given after document check.
Our View: This a pure blame game and suddenly the agencies and the ministry have started getting all the information about the conspirators but whatever the truth may be, we Indians cannot consider ourselves safe if there are such loop holes in the system and security arrangements.
