As of today, 18 Feb 2014, 9 people have been killed. It appears there is also a man-eater leopard in this region because some of the killings are not consistent with tiger behavior.  This tigress is supposed to be a young 4 years old, which has been shunted out of her home forest for whatever reasons, and has come down to hunting humans, most of whom are villagers working in sugar cane fields.
