CBSE has started CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation) for students studying in IX standard. For this new method the class IX term will be divided into two semesters. For each of the two semesters, respective examinations will be conducted. Also the evaluation would be made on many other parameters rather than the final exams.

The report has stats about the child’s reading, comprehension, mathematical skills from 1st class onwards. It provides a state wise statistics on the above mentioned parameters. Reservation on the Basis of Economic Status? How does it Sound?
Kerala HC has upholded the state government’s decision to provide a quota in universities and colleges to poor students from the forward communities. If this stands then 10% seats in government-run colleges and 7.5% seats in universities would be reserved for poor students from forward classes. This decision was challenged in HC by Muslim Jamat.
