You might be hearing various news on Congress wanting to split Andhra Pradesh state. The Congress party central team in New Delhi have taken such a big decision of splitting a major state like AP without following a formal process to seek consensus and votes from the MLAs and MPs representing the people. P Chindabaram’s rushed statement in the night of Dec 9 was a mockery of democratic systems and rules, and its ironic that he is a lawyer by profession. Congress party has goofed up big time on this topic. Breaking up a major state is not a joke and it can’t be decided by 5 people in Congress head office; it needs two-third majority in the state assembly. And going by the facts, the proposal doesn’t even have 5% votes!

The separatists have tried to terrorize Hyderabad and use violence to achieve their means. The state govt should have called the army to take care of KCR’s thugs, but it did not do because the CM waits for approval from Delhi every time, and his hands are tied. AP needs a strong willed leader like YSR.

Each part of the AP state has its unique strengths and weaknesses, and that makes a unified AP state strong and capable of offering a good investment destination and opportunity for jobs and education.

The real reason why KCR and his “unidentified sponsors” want a separate state is that they can capture the wealth in Hyderabad, which they have not built at all.

Hyderabad has been jointly built by all people of AP and no one group can claim ownership of it. It will be very unfair. This is the boldest dacoity scheme, and it is being done in the name of democracy. Geographical proximity is meaningless. It is like bank employees saying that they will now own all the bank’s funds because they are closest to the lockers and have the keys! And imagine the kind of inter-state taxes that will start coming for every small thing.

The fact is even the majority people in Telangana region don’t want a separate state. It is the greedy separatists who have have grand plan for stealing wealth.

Mohan from Warangal, AP: The Central govt should understand that not everybody in Telangana region want to get separated. In fact, the separatists are a small minority.The Telangana political party of KCR could win only 10 seats out of 119 constituencies in our region. So they do not have the support of people. Only politicians in this region want this region to be separated so that they get better positions. They encouraged govt employee unions also to fight for a separate state so that all of the employees get promoted with higher salaries. This is madness and central govt should understand clearly whats going on in this region.

Congress central team has blundered on this topic and the sooner they take corrective steps, the better.

India really lacks a strong government in the centre, which can spank these opportunist, tantrum-throwing pussies.
