IIT Team Wins NYC’s ‘Next Big Idea’
Students from IIT Madras have won the ‘Next Big Idea’ contest for the NYC. The contest was organised by bloomberg, to pitch an idea that will improve quality of life and create jobs and continue to attract and retain talented entrepreneurs from around the globe. Their idea was to make the power grids work better/effecient. The prize money for the event was $20,000.
Our View: As they had told that their idea is still not applicable to our own country because the technology back home is not compatible. India surely has the talent it needs our effort to provide them with the right guidance, infrastructure to make them winners!!!
